Halo3 is considered to be one of the best  First Person Shooter game (FPS) ever designed. The head to head format of Halo3 is called SLAYER.  1v1v1v1 Free For All (FFA) tournament places four competitors against each other at the same time.  In each round, four competitors enter the game and only the competitor with the highest score advances.  The other three competitors are eliminated from the tournament.  

Competitors register online or in person.  The maximum number of competitors is 64.  Upon check in at the tournament, the competitors are seeded into brackets.  Competitors are notified of their games times and the fun begins.  In case there are more than 64 players, a waiting list will be started for those competitors.  In case of a competitor no show in round one, a competitor on the waiting list will be added to the tournament.  In case there are less than 64 players, the tournament director reserves the right to modify the brackets or add player to make the brackets work.  In some cases there may even be a "bye" in the bracket.

All 64 competitors compete in round one (Games 1-16).  The competitor with the highest score on each round is the winner.  The winners of each round advance to the Semi Finals ( Games  17-20).  The winners of the Semi Finals advance to the finals.  The competitor with the highest score in the finals is the winner.  The competitor with the second highest score in the finals is in second place.
