Halo 2 is a first-person shooter developed by Bungie Studios for the Xbox video game console. It is the sequel to the game 'Halo', and features a newly built graphics engine, physics engine, new weapons and vehicles, new multiplayer maps, and a storyline that continues the story begun in Halo: Combat Evolved.
www.SPLMAX.com presents the Halo 2 one vs one tournament is a head to head competition using the SLAYER mode. There is a maximum number of 128 competitors. Competitors compete in a single round elimination style tournament. Brackets are determined by the number of competitors entered into the competition. Competitors are seeded into the brackets by random selection. Winners advance until there is one champion . First Place winner will receive a minimum of $250.and Second Place will receive $100.
In person registration is Friday, October 7th, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 8th, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon). Tournament play starts Saturday, October 8th, at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Tournament fee is $20. The Halo 2 one vs one tournament is open to competitors 18 years or older (drivers license or state ID required), or 13 - 17 years old with a signed parent consent form.
There are 4 Frag Stations for tournament play. Each station is has its own XBOX platform provided. Each stations has its own XBOX controller(s). Slayer games are 5 minute games. There is a 3 minute setup period before the game and a 2 minute takedown after the game.
