REMOTE CAR STARTER A remote car starter is an
electrical module (brain) added to your car. Easy to use and perfectly
safe. A simple push of a button from the key chain transmitter is
all that is needed to start your vehicle without your ignition key.
The module receives the signal and starts a series of tasks to start your
vehicle. The primary feature of a remote car starter is to warm your
car in the winter and to cool your car in the summer. The Valet remote car starter is feature loaded. On some vehicles it will even lock and unlock your doors or even "pop" your trunk via the remote control keyless entry feature. In the remote start mode it will even turn on your parking lights to indicate the vehicle has started. It is like having your own personal butler. Car starters work on most vehicles with fuel injection and automatic transmissions. It will even work with vehicles with factory security systems or immobilizer systems. Simple and safe to use. Will not void any factory warranties.
Are you ready for a remote car starter? Now is the time to do it! Call (216) 513-4575 for more information or to order a remote car starter. |

What is an Immobilizer?
Today some newer vehicles feature a factory "kill switch" or immobilizer. Your vehicle may have one and you may not even know it is there. Most immobilizer work using the factory key. Inside the key is a chip. When starting the car, your ignition system automatically looks for the key (chip) to be in the ignition switch. If the key chip is in the ignition cylinder, then the vehicle starts and acts normally. If the key (chip) is not there, the fuel or computer is shut off preventing the vehicle from starting or running. It is designed to prevent a thief from "hot wiring" your car.
How do I know if I have an immobilizer on my vehicle? One way is to look for a security light or flashing key icon on your dash board when starting the vehicle. Another way is to look at your key. Does the key have a large plastic key top? Sam can also tell you if you may have an immobilizer.
Almost all immobilizer can be safely bypassed during the remote start process. Some by passes require an additional by pass module and some require additional by pass module and one of your factory keys. The by pass module is added when installing the remote car starter.
Installation Note: Most vehicles require two original keys to be present at the time of remote car starter installation to enter vehicle security programming mode.
By pass modules are $15 -$60. (just ask when scheduling your appointment) |
