POINTS

Points are accrued through official SPLMAX CUP events point system.  Points are awarded to operator of the stereo system.  Points are not awarded to teammates or to the vehicle.  You may  have only 1 vehicle entered for each SPLMAX CUP event.  You may not enter yourself  more than once per SPLMAX CUP event.

SPLMAX CUP point system is based on three criteria:

1) How you finished or placed in each competition - FINISH

FINISH points are awarded as follows:

8 points for 1st place finish

7 points for 2nd place finish

6 points for 3rd place finish

5 points for 4th place finish

4 points for 5th place finish

3 points for 6th place finish

2 points for 7th place finish

1 point for 8th place finish

2) How many competitors were in your bracket - BRACKET

BRACKET points are awarded as follows:

8 points for 8 competitors in the bracket

7 points for 7 competitors in the bracket

6 points for 6 competitors in the bracket

5 points for 5 competitors in the bracket

4 points for 4 competitors in the bracket

3 points for 3 competitors in the bracket

2 points for 2 competitors in the bracket

3) What class you competed in - CLASS

CLASS points are awarded as follows:

3 points for finishing in the 150db -159.9db class

2 points for finishing in the 140db -149.9db class

1 points for finishing in the 130db -139.9db class

The points are then calculated using this proven mathematical formula:

FINISH + BRACKET + CLASS = SPLMAX CUP event points

The points from each SPLMAX CUP event will be tallied for a points total.

Bass Race

SPLMAX CUP will use the official Bass Race rules as posted on the dB Drag Racing website in addition to

1) Tie scores in qualifying

In case there is a tie between two or more competitors in qualifying, the tied competitors will compete head to head  until there is a winner.  Then brackets will be made.

2) Tie score during eliminations to determine 4-6 place.

The competitors last winning score will be used to determine the placement.  If there is still a tie the competitors previous winning score will be used.  It there is still a tie a flip of a coin will determine the winner.

In the event that a SPLMAX CUP event has to be cancelled:

1) If the show has already started and everyone has qualified, the show promoter reserves the right to "advance" the brackets based current results and qualifying scores.

2) If the show has not been started, the show promoter will reschedule or cancel the event.
